These are all signs that your dryer vent needs to be professionally cleaned. The more frequently you use your dryer, the more lint will accumulate in the vent.
Much like the dust that accumulates in your home or industrial ventilation system, excessive lint in your dryer vent can also cause a fire. Clothing lint can easily get inside the dryer cavity via a damaged lint trap or door seal and come in contact with electric heating coils or with the flames from a gas-operated burner. Once the lint ignites, suction from within the ventilation system can cause the fire to spread quite rapidly, which is why we recommend that dryer vents be professionally cleaned every 1 to 2 years.
